Help Wanted: Assistant Swim Coaches – FMC Aquatic


FMC Aquatic is looking for passionate and committed coaches to join our dynamic team, working with swimmers from our 10-and-under program to our National Team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about swimming, committed to athlete development, and
ready to make a positive impact in a competitive team environment.


Key Responsibilities:


● Attend all scheduled swim practices (6 days/week, 10-25 hours per week), meets (typically 1–2 per month), and designated team meetings or events.
● Assist the Lead Coaches in running practices with a strong emphasis on technical skill development across all four strokes, starts, turns, streamlines, body balance, kickouts, and race strategies.
● Implement workouts developed by the Lead Coaches and contribute to a focused, skill-driven environment.
● Provide effective, professional communication with athletes and parents to build strong relationships and team cohesion.
● Collaborate with FMC Aquatic coaching staff to align with team goals and long-term strategies.
● Act as a primary responder in the event of an injury, accident, or illness; must be familiar with emergency procedures and complete required reporting forms.
● Support additional team-related duties as assigned.

● Must be current with USA Swimming safety and coaching certifications (or willing to obtain).
● CPR/AED certification required within 3 months of hire (free and paid training available).

● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
● Professional demeanor, especially in high-pressure or fast-paced situations.
● Ability to represent FMC Aquatic positively at all times.


Physical Requirements:


● Must be able to stand for prolonged periods on the pool deck in varying weather conditions.
